About me

    Profile picture

Hi, I'm Ben, a third-year maths student with a keen interest in technology. I am inquisitive and always have a million questions about a subject. I love to dig deep until I know the ins and outs; that's why maths fits me so well!

At the University of Manchester, I chair The Turing Society, whose mission is to analyse the very latest in tech. We will be holding a panel discussion on the future of AI, which I hope will shine a light on some of the brilliant academics at the university.

Currently, I am working on my third-year project, for which I am creating an individual-based model of the interaction between predators and prey. The simulation places a number of digital 'animals', each a predator or a prey, on a grid and allows them to move randomly. Their life and death are controlled probabilistically, which makes for some fascinating divergence between experiments. Please check it out in my projects section!
